Early July, me and Choul took a day trip to Port Dickson (PD) to celebrate her bro-in-law's and nephew's birthday at a resort called Ilham. The resort is located at Tanjung Tuan, near a lighthouse and very close to Casa Rachado which is coincidentally, right beside the PLKN camp. I'm pretty used to staying in Casa Rachado since I've been there a number of times for training programmes held by the company I work for.

We didn't go straight to the resort, as we made a rendezvous at Choul's bro-in-law's parents' (phew) house which is located about 10-20 mins from the resort. All the family member's gathered there for a quick breakfast. I remember that it was a cool, breezy morning. Totally different from the PD I know, which is usually tan-talizing if you get what I mean. If you didn't, what I meant was that PD is usually really really hot and I'm talking about the weather.

Spot the crow. Choul took this.
After the quick breakfast, we lazed around in the house for a bit and decided to go take a look at the beach, since PD is all about the beaches. By that time it was approaching noon, and the cool breeze gradually changed into toasty breeze, which didn't help with our intention, to get great pictures of the beach. Why? because I should be an Eskimo because I sweat at the slightest sign of heat, and slippery hands do not work well with photoshoots, especially when you want to be emulate being a tripod.

The Photographers
We eventually made our way on to the beach after finding a great spot to park the car. There were a number people out there, its the weekend after all, way less than what I expected though. Families and couples were having picnics and generally enjoying themselves, having a relaxing weekend I suppose. Some even brought their own mini-barbeque grill. That's what I call taking the extra mile to relax.

Choul took a great photo of me. Couldn't resist editing this. :D

Whatcha lookin' at?

Choul automatically becomes energetic when it comes to beaches.
Armed with the G7 and 350D, we gleefully started taking pictures of ourselves as subjects, only to be haltered by a group of insects, much like a crossbreed of flies and bees, flying in a flurry towards me and particularly, Choul. I have no idea what attracted them, but with my excellent skills of deduction, I take it that they're attracted to sweetness, as Choul is quite sweet (aicehhhhh). The insects bothered us, but it didn't stop this couple from running away to another spot to take more pictures! It wasn't really THE most photogenic part of the beach, so as I walk pass the muddy beaches, I can't help but notice the number of crabs that are running around. Needless to say, it was crab photoshoot time for me.

Me, just being my typical annoying self

That's what you get for traversing muddy beaches

The Crab Hunter, waiting for its prey.
Since I'm already spamming you all with so many photos, please stay tuned for part 2 of this entry where you get to SEE the actual pics of the crab I took. Before I go, I leave you with a pic of a cute little ladybug that landed on my back. Great capture by Choul...

Cute eh? Til Part 2.
